Reputation star depressed??!!

Today when I loged on to mylot, I noticed that my reputation star had changed from a red one (9 stars) to a yellow one (8 stars), and I remembered that when I loged out yesterday, my reputation is 84 percentage but now, as you can see, it is a 79 percentage one, what had happened to my reputation yesterday? Any one has some opinions about this? Feel free to post here, I'm just courious about it, and you opinion will help me to avoid depressing again. Thanks upfront.

Mine too went down from 8 to 7 when I logged in today.
Where do you see the percentage?

I assume the star is just that divided by 10 and then rounded appopriately?

OK I know why I didn't notice it before, it only worked at work.
Anybody using Firefox that this works for?
I use IE at work and Firefox at home.

Maybe I should just say I am lucky lol dont want people to think i am big headed! lol... mine went up from 81 to 83 last night
I think you will find the reason for this is you replied to someone's discussion and either them or someone else who wrote on it didnt like your response and gave you a - rating (or several) and that is why your star went down..
I have noticed here on mylot if you dont give a response people like they will give you a negative rating just to spite you.. If you give them a response they like they will give you a + or even best response!
Only other reason i can think of is someone didnt like a discussion you started and rated that negatively??
sorry i aint much help but these are the only reasons i can think of... you have to remember that people on mylot do not like people who do not think the same as them... Mine went down from an 89 to a 71 once because i told someone i didnt believe in god and everyone else on the discussion was all 'my god' and i put what i thought about religion and my star went down... its all a big popularity test really! lol... see you around mylot! have fun and dont worry the star doesnt mean THAT much!
