Should the hijab be banned for safety reasons?

The province of Quebec in Canada has just fired a female prison guard in training for refusing to remove her hijab on the job. The union of prison guards has rules as to dress code and hair. A hijab is condisered a safety hazard since it can easily be turned into a noose to choke the guard or pulled over her face so she cannot see. I think if she wants to be a prison guard she should follow the rules and put on her hijab when she is off duty if she wants to. What do you think?

I think she was stupid to think they'd let her wear a weapon to work every day. And if the fool takes it to court, she will lose. What kind of idiot thinks that people convicted of violent crimes would think twice about hurting her if they could get the chance? That's as stupid as the woman in England who was fired for refusing totake off her heavy veil while teaching kids to speak properly. Do these women think b3fore they apply for these jobs, or do they just use the race/religion clause? I think its high time the hijab was banned throughout the western world, just as it is forced on people in the middle east.
