Have you ever had days where you just can't get motivated to do anything? I've been having a ot of them lately. Even getting out of bed is starting to feel like a chore. I don't know if it's the weather or just me but I need to get some motivation because I just feel really crappy right now.

I am so sorry that you having those kinds of days. I suggest that you go see a doctor. I have been going through the same thing the last few months. It has gone as far as having anxiety attacks now. I am in constant pain and the neorologist said that I am getting depressed and put me on meds. I just did not even want to get out of bed. I hope you feel back to yourself soon.

I am on an anti-depressant. I really think maybe it's just that time of the year. 'Ya know, a little touch of cabin fever maybe?????LOL!

Yes I suffer with this a lot, being currently unemployed doesn't help because I have nothing to get out of bed for, I feel so unmotivated, it's not for the want of trying, I apply for jobs but never get anywhere, Tuesdays is easiest because I have a jobclub, but other days I think what is the point in getting up? I try and set myself goals and targets and having things to look forward to helps. I am going away on my retreat next weekend it helps to save the monotony of life.

Coffee. Coffee. Coffee. Coffee. Coffee. And more coffee. ha ha Yes, I feel like that too often. Right now it is very late and I can not go to bed because it is too hot to sleep. My partner can sleep if there is a car alarm going off outside. But me...I am one of those people that have to be very cool and relaxed to sleep. Instead, I do that stare at the ceiling...just thinking. And because of that, I do not even want to roll out of bed when I do finally get to sleep. But nooooo, I have children coming in asking for breakfast and having to get ready for school. So, to help, I drink coffee. I love my coffee now. Which, I did not start drinking coffee until a couple months ago now. has it been a couple months...maybe not. But now, I want my coffee and caffeine to help me get motivated. :) Sorry to hear that you are feeling crappy. Maybe your iron is low. Try some vitamins...maybe that will help. :)

LOL!!! You sound like you're me. My hubby is the same way. He can sleep anytime, anywhere!LOL! I don't know where I'd be without my good friend caffeine,LOL! I actually have given thought to starting myself on vitamins, have to talk to my Dr. first because I have a chronic condition so I have to be careful w/ anything I take. Thanks for giving me a little smile and your suggestions. Always nice to hear from you Brokentia!

I'm glad to learn that I'm not the only one who feels unmotivated and lazy. I've been having this lack of motivation and strength to start the day for two weeks now. I know why I'm like this, though. It's the weather change. This month is the transition phase between winter and spring, and I'm having difficulty adjusting, no matter how hard I try to shake it off. I'm also a bit edgy these days. I'm having difficulty because this is my first winter, and I'm a Filipino who just arrived a few months ago to work here in the U.S. Nice discussion!

This happens to me at least once a week. I feel like I'm in a fog and just don't get anything done. It's not that I'm too busy - because on those days I don't do anything. I am not sure the reason for this. But even thinking about of how time I waste in my "fog" makes me upset.

I know the feeling! It could be what your eating or maybe even depression. I would also get your sugar checked out for diabetes. Or maybe what your just needing is vitamin with a energy booster supplement added. Well I am hoping that you are feeling better at this time since this was 4 weeks ago but if not then something is seriously wrong and needs to be checked out by a doctor but if you want you can check out the enegy vitamins first for about a week to get good into your system and then see how you feel because low iron and other things can be wrong to cause those problems..

I'm feeling better, I know it's not my depression because I'm on an antidepressant that's working great for me. I think it's just a bad case of cabin fever.

I am sorry you feel blaahh. It happens to everyone, time to time. However, if it is something that starts to happen daily, then it is depression. So, watch and see how it goes. I hope you will feel better dear. Here is a big ((((((((((((HUG)))))))))))))

Yup! I've had a few of them in a row! I am on Spring BReak (I am a college professor). I had a list of things that I was going to accomplish over break. Guess what? Not a single thing on that list has been accomplished! I can't blame weather, it has been a balmy 74 degrees each day here where I live. I just keep getting distracted and am enjoying moving through the day without a care in the world! Of course, come next Monday morning, I am going to wish that I had cared!!!

Oh yes. In fact, I feel like that today. I know I have some errands to run, but I just don't feel like getting out of my pajamas! lol. I think everyone has those days once in while, though. Don't worry, the feeling will pass and you will find the motivation sooner or later!

Yes, this happens to me once in a while. And, the truth is, I do not look forward to it coming once again. It does not feel good at all when I feel so lazy, like there is nothing at all that I am capable of doing. These are the times when I do not give any effort to get up in the morning until I feel the pangs of hunger.

Yes I have some of those days as well.Especailly now since my husband has been deployed for 3 months. So dressing my kids in the morning and then finally getting to myself to dress myself seems like a chore.LOL.Also putting the trash out for trash day,and cleaning house can take a toll.Someetimes I would just like to lay in bed and sleep them days off but I cant since I have 2 kids that need me and my housework would pile up.Still it would be nice to snap my fingers or twinkle my nose like Bewitched and the housework would be done.LOL.

I have many days like this. If I can ever get started, I'm usually over it pretty quickly. But sometimes I just give in to it and don't do anything. Weather has no effect on me. I love a good rainy day and those are usually my most productive. But some days when it rains, I just want to curl up on the couch with a puzzle book and watch TV. I hope your day gets much better.

I think today might be one of those days! I slept poorly last night and just have no ambition for anything today. It's Easter vacation for the kids, too, so it is nice to be able to chill out and geta slow start if that is what we feel like doing. If I perk up after a cup of coffee, I might take the kids down for new shoes, and later if it is warm, the dog to the beach. Nothing too complicated!

Last week was like that for me. I was worried about slipping into a depression but apparently I am starting to snap out of it. How have you been sleeping ? I know one factor in my episode like that was that I was a bit sleep deprived that week. It also might have been a symptom but I tend to see that if I'm depressed I usually oversleep instead of undersleep.
