Would you want an elaborate wedding or a simple one?

My fiance (Slider, another MyLot member) and I are getting married next Wednesday. We've both been married before, and neither of us are in a position to pay for an elaborate wedding. My first wedding wasn't huge, but it wasn't small, either. Slider and I are having a simple wedding, with only two witnesses and a Justice of the Peace performing the ceremony. I've enjoyed the experience of planning this wedding MUCH MORE than experiencing the stress I had during the first wedding! Had I known then what I know now, I would have kept the first wedding simple, as well. Of course, a lot has to do with the groom-to-be, too! ;) Which would you prefer, a simple wedding or an elaborate one?

When I was married, we had a simple wedding. Were I ever to get married again (can't really see it, though) I would again have a simple wedding.

well i just love simple wedding ..well its my wedding then why to spend so much on other people ..

Thanks, Pal! To me, it makes more sense to save the money and do something useful with it, like go on a really nice honeymoon or put a downpayment on a house.
