I saw this and know several people who place heating pads in their dogs pet beds and thought htis would be cheap and easy.
1 old Sock
2 cups of Rice or Wheat
Rubber bands
Take the old sock, or new sock and fill it with the rice. Leave enough room to tie a knot in the top of the sock. If you are using a smaller sock then use a rubber band.
This small heat pack can be used in pet beds under their blanket.
Heat in the microwave for 1 1/2
Min's on high.

I make these all the time for pets, family and just about everything. We use them in the car as well as in bed to keep our feet warm. I have to use rice for my puppy thought the wheat gives off a scent that he will not get close to it.

This is even a great idea if you are in a bind yourself. I wonder if dried peas would work as well. I would use this myself if I did not have a bag already. And this may come in hany for me if I have any animal that needs some extra warmth. Thanks for the great tip.
