how honest ae you with strangers???

hey peeps im just wondering on how helpful and caring plus honest you are towards people/ strangers??????
i have a few i want to share on how ive helped strangers!
a few times ive seen people leave there keys in there front door and ive knocked and gave them back to the home owner.
one time a man left his credit card in the cash machine on a busy day when i was out shopping, i run after him and gave it back!!
another time an old lady was out in the supermarket and left her change on the counter as she was packing her bags, i had to follow her and give it back even tho she told me to keep it i wouldn't because i feel bad!!

Like you I would be honest and Helpful I have done it a few times. If People have left things behind I would call the to return it. It is better to be honest as I would only feel Guilty afterwards anyway. So yes I am quite honest with People whether I know them or not.

hmmm for me it doesnt matter if stranger or not. i help them like i would they help me. my granny teached me well, with saying give away and you receive back. i hope you understand how i mean it.
all people deserve a chance, and if its to help them to cross the street. now its even funnier for me, i can invite them to sit with me on my wheelchair hahahahaha

haha awwww. i too think yur honest marlyse like gabs even tho ive never seen you in real life, i can just tell i think by how helpful a person is like her in mylot you always help me and i feel special for that to be helped by you hehehehe! thanks alot for sharing with me! =)

Good for you! Honesty is always a virtue. If one can't be honest with other people, at least be honest with self. :D
Everybody loves an honest person. It's a rare virtue nowadays. Everybody seems to be, in one way or another, taking advantage of some people. I often find myself at the receiving end of those malicious people lately. Some people can't live, it seemed, without taking advantage of others generosity and frailty. Yes, at some point in my life, I've been dishonest too. Life is a phase. A journey. Nobody is immune to some sort of dishonesty in their entire life.
Based and with reflection to examples you provided, strangers losing a thing or two and returning said item(s), I'm like that too. I return things to people when I'm absolutely sure those items are theirs. Conscience dictates that it's the right and moral thing to do. That's my opinion.
Nice discussion topic by the way. Thought provoking. :D

i will always be 100% honest when it comes to helping others, especially senior citizens but i'll be 100% careful when someone comes to me telling something is good for me (aka selling).

never had such encounters like u mentioned but i did help many strangers in different situations like guiding them i.e., giving directions,etc.

Hi! well I think being honest is good. I'm like that also. But if the case is, the stranger is asking for any information about you, like name, work, address, I think it would be nice to lie about it. Even if that person only tells you that he/she wanted you to be just friends..For security reasons right? =) It's better to be safe...

I’m also like that. I always feel responsible in being honest even if it is to a stranger.
I had some experiences where I was able to test my honesty to strangers. Like there was one time, the cashier wrongly punched in the price for the item that we ordered. She punched the price lower that what is indicated in the price tag. And I call her attention about it and it turns out, the price that she punched is really lower that the original price and if I didn’t call her attention it will be charged to her and will be deducted against her pay check.
So I think, I can really be honest even if it is with strangers.

One cant be totally honest with strangers. It depends from situation to situation. U can help them and be honest till a certain limit but cant be totally honest all time as it may lead to your own harm, they may cheat you and betray ur trust. With known people and friends, of course u have to be honest. I usually follow honesty policy till i feel there is no chance of being cheated...

I am also pretty much like you, even i help anyone i can at any possible time. Like, i once helped an old man at the bank with his transactions he was pretty much messed up and was quite cofused...:)
Most of my friends tell the wrong way to strangers who ask the way on the road. I feel that its a really pathetic thing to do. It could happen to you also. And god knows where you could end up...??

That depends on the situation, if there's someone i don't know and he/she keeps asking me about certain things or about people i don't give any information. But when someone left her bag or personal things i always go after that person and return it without asking for anything in return or reward.

I still believe in the great saying,"Never Trust a Stranger". I will limit myself, not to mingle so much with strangers, of course. I may answer his/her questions honestly but I will really not give out my personal information just to protect myself for possible unworthy outcomes. Actually, you also have to assess the strangers you are dealing through the clothes that they wear, gestures they're doing, etc. Be careful folks.
