I Think its your wrong opinion that the mainly people only like Cricket. Most girls and women too watch Cricket. The mainly people just watches cricket but the most fan are amongst from the ladies. Thats why in cricket we wil say he is most elligible bachelor due to these lady fans only

In India, the moment a child starts to get6 on his legs he is having a tendency to take some object in his has and he tries to hit some thing with it! This objects are often replaced with plastic bat and ball by their parents and the kid develops an intimacy towards these things since that tender age! As he grows up and start interacting with his friends they start playing their own type of cricket like our great cricketer Sachin Tendulkar started when he was a kid! While playing this type of so called 'Galli" cricket, these children they come to know about the terminology of the cricket, like batting, bowling, out, stumps, caught, wickets, bails etc. By the time the kid enters his school he is well versed with the game of cricket and in the school in the group of friends he acquires more advanced knowledge about the cricket! To add to his intertest the live matches shown in every body's drawing room makes his cricket life colourful and he tries to understand the professional game by watching and getting his doubts clear from his seniors , who can be either his parents, relatives or friends! Thus by the time he becomes 8 to 10 years he is practically very well versed with the cricket, its rules and regulations, Indian cricket team and short history of the team and above all he knows that once India already has won World Cup, which makes his Country team as Worlds best team! So with anticipation that his country will win in each match and each series he continuously watches every match before realizing that he got hooked to it and he has become a cricket fan! Here every thing comes very naturally. He need not make any extra efforts to get acquainted with this game! So this makes his task very easy! For other games which are less popular he will have to take out time for it and learn about the game and since most of the games are not shown on prime time shows , they are not very appealing things for youngsters! Though many other games are being played in India , for the reasons quoted above the cricket remains the king of "Indian Games" It was a nice topic of discussion initiated by you! Most likely long time playing is football and cricket. Cricket is more enjoyable than football and in cricket many country or region is involved. Cricket is a game which never make us out of patients if watch long time and most favorite team is play then it bring extra joy in our mind, example when India and England is playing we support India and always want and pray for its win as we are in Asian/Indian region, otherway when England and New Zealand Team play then we support England and always want and pray for its win as we are live near U.K. region. Thus many things make us favourite in cricket.

I have always loved cricket! Not liked it, I love it. But in answer to your question, I think people like to watch cricket because it is relaxing most of the time. Okay I know it can be very exciting too on the other hand. But I guess it is just great to watch. In other words - it is a great spectacle.

I think that only Indians like to see cricket. Other countries have other favorite sports other then cricket. I like to watch almost all types of sports but cricket isn't one of them. I also don't like to see bicycle races, but in the other hand I like to see BTT and free style.
