I too had this problem. I am told that dogs tend to do this or even rats do this since their teeth grow big, and when their lower teeth goes into their upper gums or vice versa and if their gums start bleeding it becomes poisenous for them and this could kill them. So they tend do chew down on every thing that comes theyr way to keep their teeth in check. On of the vets suggested me to get made a wodden bone like playing object for the dog to chew. This would keep the dogs away from household things. I tried it and it worked.

she is bored. she simply needs more stimulation. take herfor longruns, , and give hersomeoutside toys of her own to play with when she is outside. try a tether ball arrangement if you have a tree. My daughter's dog pulled a tire swing right off the rope that was holding it because he was too bored with nothing to do in the yard for long periods when they were a work.

She has so many toys now for inside and out , she is spoiled !!! lol She goes for many walks a day and she runs with me at 6:00 am every morning , she isnt left at home alone very much at all and she gets so much attention from all of us here at home (the kids wear her out ) I have now put the rest of the stuffed animals up in my hall closet and keep all the doors shut so she can't get to the pillows as easy , yet she knows they are in there and she walks by the bedroom doors and whines because she can't get to them now ...
