If I could be a character from the storybooks then I would like to be Harry Potter.I would love to have his magical powers.I'd like to do good and might be a wee bit mischievous, lol.I would love to fly around on a broom, lol.Although,I don't have a vertigo ,but I was kindof worried about that guy when he was flying at such a great pace:-P I am hoping against hope that Rowling keeps writing Potter stories.

Natasha Rostova from "War and Peace". Not only is it my all-time favourite book, but I have always been fascinated by my Russian ancestry, and geritage, and she is just the epitome of the Russian heroine to me. My ther favourite female character is Lara from "Dr. Zhivago", - for pretty much the same reasons.

I don't know if anyone has ever heard of this book but, it is Mrs. Doc. written by Jeanette Oake. I would love to be Mrs. Doc because she was loved by everyone in town and she fulfilled a perpose. Even if it was just to the young children who would sit on her porch swing with her.

I would love to be in the shoes oh Artur Dent the main character of the Douglas Adams novel The Hitchiker´s Guide to Galaxy, embarking in all that voyages and adventures, meeting the most outrageous characters and a number of exotic places along the milk way, that would be something.

I'd either like to be Anita Blake from the Laurell K. Hamilton series... There is always some action going on - plus vampires and werewolves and fairies are real in the story - or else I'd like to be Marianne from Sense and Sensability by Jane Austen... I love her free spirit and romantic nature.

I would love to be any of the kids from the Chronicles of Narnia, and if I had to choose which one, I'd probably want to be Lucy. She is so innocent! I have always loved the Chronicles of Narnia stories, and that is why I would choose to be her.

Very good question!! I would say I would want to be a character from Alice Walker's book 'The Temple of my Familiar'. I can't remember the woman's name, but it started with an 'L'. Alice Walker makes her characters so alive, full-bodied, sensual... but with the most amazing touch of spirit that makes them 'real' to me. This character in particular had the odd gift of being able to 'remember' her past lives. I think regardless of the book I'd want to be one of those magical women who 'has a gift'.. an eerie sixth sense. Those are the characters I relate to. Also, Jo March from Little Women. I wanted to be a writer so bad when I was growing up! I loved how she cut off all her hair for money for her family... she was amazing. Oh! And Laura Engalls Wilder. Who didn't fantasize about growing up on the prairie?

As a book character I think I would like to be Lestat from "The Vampire Chronicles". Besides the telepathic and telekinetic powers, the "be forever young" thing (this could be a bad thing after a wile); he could do whatever he liked not being afraid of what others would think, and what they could do against him. I think the best part of the character is the freedom of choice.
