Yes, it is yet another free email service. The company is called Breakthru. You can sign up for a free account very quickly. Moreover, Breakthru claims that their email service is spam-free, maybe a way to say that they have good spam filters, as there is no perfect spam control policy.
Breakthru is currently promoting its email service through an affiliate program. You may sign up for a free email account and take advantage of their spam filter by following this link: http://breakthru.com/go/g773658-pmem
It is also possible to become an affiliate yourself. In this case, you will be paid 0.10$ for every new member. You can become an affiliate yourself, by following this link:

There is no such thing as a spam free email account, because it is not possible to fully differentiate between spam and normal mail. If a friend of mine changes his email address and sends me a message, how can the system decide that this is from a friend of mine but the next email is not?
Nevertheless, it would be interesting to try this site, so I may give it a try.

It is true, but also there are very good spam filters. I use thunderbird to get email from my primary account and I only get spam once in a blue moon. The most efficient filters are based on what is called Bayesian law. My thunderbird program has been learning to identify spam for 3 years now and it got pretty much good at it now. Spam detection is based on some words, but the fact that one of these words is in the message does not make it systematically a spam. The technique is probabilistic.
