Have you ever met someone who looks a lot like yourself? I have, and it's a bit strange at first! I've also had many people tell me that I look like someone else they know, so I must have one of those 'generic looks'...lol. What about you? Ever see or meet someone who makes you think you're looking in a mirror? Does it 'creep you out', or make you feel good?

Back in my high school days I have a lot of friends who look like other people so I thought of myself as unique. Did I get a shock of my life when one of my classmates showed me a year book from his other school. As we were rummaging through the pages my classmate found a guy that was 100% a duplicate of me. I was shocked and all that my mind could think of was "do I look like that?!" It has a science fiction idea to it. It's like watching yourself from another dimension. I wanted to meet my look-alike but their school was so far away and the only time I met my look-alike was in college when we wanted to go on a road trip. We don't look alike anymore, the genes kicked in.

Interesting! I guess that's true, too, that looks do change over time, especially in growing-up years. So a 'twin' today might not be tomorrow. Good points; neat story. Thanks for the post.

Today, I had another similar experience when I met an old acquaintance in a convenience store. The clerk called us "brothers" when he looked at us, as we both had similar coloring, moustache style, etc. We are not related in any way (that we know of!), but apparently this particular clerk thought we were! Strange!

I saw a story abut this on a news show last weekend. There's actually a photographer in Canada that has look-alikes pose together for an art exhibit he's doing. It's remarkable how much alike these people look and they're not even from the same part of the world sometimes. He said there's some people that won't do the picures because it freaks them out a little to see someone so much like themselves.

Yeah...that's sorta how I feel too. It's a bit 'freaky' all right. I've seen similar stories about this too...it happens quite a lot, I guess. Thanks for the post.

Actually a number of years ago I had someone call me Judy ..then it happened a few more times...Someone told me about this woman that lived in a town nearby.I had never met or seen here. Later that year at the county fair I ran face to face with her and decided we must be sisters LOL.. Later that evening a friend asked me if I could watch his tack shop for a while. While I was there this big biker looking guy came sauntering up to me.I thought he was moving too quickly toward me and was getting nervous and looked around for someone I knew but there was noone around the booth. This guy came right up to me and said "Hi Honey,Where's my little wife been?" and put his arms around me. Well,I was getting extremely nervous and ready to run when I spotted Judy and a couple of her friends standing outside the booth trying not to pee their pants with laughing. It was her husband pretending to mistake me for Judy and she had put him up to it. We've been fast friends since. We have the same goofy scence of humor. I still owe her one.And to answer your question make me feel fine! R
