Do you believe in promises?

There are lot of promises that only made to be broken. And sometimes it depends to people who are making those promises. I, as a mother of 2 kids, i always do what i promised to them especially when they listen to me and in exchange of doing good things.

I'm the most gullible person in the whole wide universe. I easily believe promises and so I also get disappointed/frustrated several times when the promises get broken or unfulfilled. It took me years to learn my lesson but at least now I know better.

promises are sacred for me, that's why i always do my best to keep them, the same way that i want people to do the same. but sad to say, what we want don't always happen, and such hurt us. however, it is said that everyone not only need a second chance, but a third, and a fourth, and more, depending on how much we can afford to give them, depending on our tolerance. but it's always good to help people get better by giving them chances until they prove themselves trustworthy. as long as we can see they're putting some efforts to change for the better, it's fine to take a chance. but if there's nothing there coz they are just plain jerks, then we can step back and just pray for them :)

To make a promise is to give your word on something and I believe a person is only as good as their word.I do not make or take promises lightly as they are a contract and need to be heeded.How often as a child you were promised something only to be blown off?How did it make you feel??

I believe the people I know will keep the promises, but once a person has promised things to me but has failed to come through with them I don't believe them anymore. I never make promises that I know I cannot keep because I do not want to disappoint people. My word is important to me.
