Why do you have to put your 2¢ in, if it is only a penny for your thoughts?

I have a list of ponderables, that have gone unaswered until mylot came along... so i am going to ask these strange questions...

okay....let see...the penny is just for the thought and nothing more. You add another penny when you have to talk about your thought...thus, 2 cents. Hope this helps. Have a nice day!
