Im very interested in "The Secret" and im really tryin to change my daily habits by being grateful for everything in my life and thinking about the things that i really want and desire right now, like a car for instance. But ive only been doin this for about a week. If you have been doing the same. Has "The Secret" worked for you? I need some motivation.

I think 'The Secret' is just smoke and mirrors. The author has put a lot of basic tips together that you'll hear from any counselor or motivational speaker. I am afraid she promised things that will not happen. Like imagining her eyesight would become 20/20, and then after 3 days, poof, her eyesight was 20/20?

Yea, i understand where you're coming from. But I do feel that I can still apply being positive and grateful to my life even if this whole thing isnt true. It could build good character for me being that I am in college and always stressful.

Oh, yes. The power of a positive mind cannot be overlooked. I just shudder at the thought of a lady making money on somewhat false promises and gettng people's hopes up.

You do not need to change the way you live life, i dont go to church much and i dont pray at all but this really works for me at a time. It needs careful practice before you can do it because sometimes it will do the opposite.

I just watched the movie for the first time last night and started thinking positively. Formerly I toyed with a lot of religions, wicca being one, and one of the most important tenets of that is that whatever energy you send out will be returned, so this was a basic rule that I had forgotten until the movie reminded me. I'm sure there are a lot of naysayers that just believe this is all smoke and mirrors and that nothing good can happen, but really, what does it hurt to send out good vibes, thoughts and to focus on good feelings instead of the bad?

When a man dwells on the objects of sense he creates an attraction for them; attraction develops into desire, and desire breeds anger. Bhagavad Gita
