i have a friend who took the June 2006 nursing board exam and until now he suffer from humiliation caused by the issues of leakage during that exam, he can't find work because those companies that he's applying to won't recognize his license, he and all of his co-board-passers were banned from applying abroad. if you were be asked, do you think they deserve that kind of treatment, did they really cheat? i mean, do you believe that the blame and disgust should be put on them?

It will be quite difficult for him to erase the stigma of this experience. Even if he wasn't one of the cheaters, he will still be identified with them because he belonged to that batch of examinees. I think the Board of Nursing has scheduled a retake of their exam in June 2007. He should take it just so he can prove to the others that he deserves his license. And besides, he won't be able to work as a nurse abroad if he didn't do the retake.

every body who takes board exams cheat, the difference is that they some people are not being caught, too bad for the examinees of june 2006 since they were caught and now suffering from its consequence, the goverment should have to do retake so as to end the misery of these board passers.

"every body who takes board exams cheat". Hey! please dont say that everbody cheats. Do you have the proofs that everyone cheats? Not all, take the benefits of the leakage. There are some who really studied well. They sacrifice alot. "huwag mong lahatin. Do not judge all the examiners".

that is unfair.. how could you say that each and everyperson who took the board cheated???? i took the board and i did not cheat and i passed... the june 2006 nle was the fault of review centers who target schools that are having difficulty in passing the board exams and naive and not so naive people who would do "anything" just to pass.. including accepting leakages. y do you think this review centers are so famous????

their competence is questionable. we all know there isn't a way to tell who got the advantage in the leak, and if they let one get through without proving their worth, these nurses might not deliver on duty. doing the re-take is safer for the patients. also, there are othe rcountries than the US where they can apply and be accepted

he should not be humiliated... its not his fault.. unless he had a copy of the leakage.. heheh joke.. but anyway it really was a tainted exam... i dont think "deserve" is the right word but somehow you cant blame the hospitals or companies.. for me no matter on what angle one looks only a retake could really erase the bad picture of 2006 NLE.. :)

I myself is a June 2006 board passer and until now I'm still pursuing my profession. But it's a choice 'coz I really don't want to work here as nurse. With the low salary and all... You can't even support yourself. That's why everybody wanted to be a nurse to go abroad. But unfortunately, with our batch, it's a challenge for us. We still need to retake tests 4 and 5 so that US would grant us a working visa. It's really taking our time. Instead of we could already take the NCLEX, we still need to show them that we pass the retake. Just advise your friend to be patient and not to lose hope. We could surpass this...
