I dont know about anyone else, but I liked his version of that song. I think mostly it has to do with the fact that I like electronic music. I think that the judges had a slightly biased opinion of the song because the grew up in the era that they were listening to the original. I definently would listen to his version outside of the show. Am I the only one?

I liked Blake's version of it as well. I don't think it was his best vocal performance, but I could watch Blake for hours. He's entertaining in many ways.

I agree it definently wasnt his best vocal at all. I think that he focus a little to much on the song writing side this time.

Oh, definitely. I agreed with Simon when he said he could've stuck with the classic version because I think Blake still could've made it interesting. I sooo love to watch him move. LOL

I understand what the judges were saying about sometimes the classics can be left alone, but on the other had I did enjoy what Blake did with it. I think he hit it right on the nose for his target market, that is to say, the people who he aims his entertaining at, would choose his version over the classic. BLake is just so talented in so many areas that I think he tends to forget that he is in a singing competition. I really like his voice and would love to hear it more.

I thought it was great I got mad at the judges for what they said to him after he sung that. I thought he was the best myself.

I too would listen to the song if it was on the radio-- I love the way Blake sounds.. He is great! but different-- I don't see him going far in the competition because he is different- I don't think enough younger people watch the show and vote. My 2 favorites are Chris Richardson and Blake.. Both young and different. I do think the judges were harder on him-- but you know what they tell each singer to make it their own- And He DID!

I liked his version of the song. I agree with you about the judges being biased about certain genres as they do grow up listening to them. Especially Randy. Of course, the judges have been in the business around the best talent, so they do know how to pick the good performances and the mediocre ones. I do think they should be fair though, and not be biased one way or another.

i really liked that verson too... he is probably my favorite contestant on the show this year. he is by far the most original. i just really hope sanjaya loses this week or i might kill myself (just kidding), but he is terrible.

I love Blake and certainly think he's the best of the bunch out of all the guys on American Idol this season but I didn't like his version of "Keep Me Hanging On". I'm all for trying something different but none of the re-mixes that night worked for me for some reason. Still though, I hope Blake makes it far & I'll continue to pull for him.

You're definitey not the only one! I am a Blake fan as well, and I really liked his rendition of that song. I think you are absolutely right about the judges being biased toward the original version. Blake is awesome, and I hope he stays around for a long time! I'm sure even if he does get voted off, we will hear from him! He's very talented!

I liked it to a point and then it was very repeticious and without much excitement. The oringinal will always be the best one, just my opinion. Motown is Motown. I find alot of Diana Ross's songs a bit boring though compared to other Motown artists. Overall I liked it, he made it interesting and different so kudos for that
