Did you have a tire swing or a rope swing when you were a kid?

When I was a kid I used to always go over to my friend's house. They didn't have computers and video games then and no cartoon network. We used to play outside a lot on the tire swing. It was lots of fun. Did you have a tire swing or rope swing when you were a kid? What did you do for fun?

Yes we did, me, my ister and cousins had a lot of fun on that tree swing. It wasn't a tire swing, it was made out of wood and rope and hung from a huge tree in my grandma's yard. Luckily grandma lived right across the street from us, so we got to use it a lot. We lived in a small town in Illinois, where nobody had fences around their yards. Our cousins lived on the other side of our block. We were always playing outside in summer or winter. In winter, we made snowmen and snow angels. I the summer we ran around barefoot all day till dark. We used to watch the lightening bugs and saw a few bats. Me and my sis pretended to play Batman and Robin. I was always Cat Woman. We also loved riding bikes. Also, in the fall we would rake up the multi-colored leaves and make a huge pile and then jump into it. When playing inside, we played with troll dolls. Our neighbor friend used to make felt outfits for our trolls, including batman and Robin outfits. We loved coloring, reading, playing paperdolls and even made our own paperdolls. When we moved to California, we learned how to swim and loved it! We played hide and seek, truth or dare, climbed trees, played tag, Simon Says and Red Rover, red rover, will you please come over. We love skating and riding bikes. We went to the roller rink to skate all the time too. Inside we played Monopolopy, Candy Land, Operation, Scrabble and Yahtzee. We also played with our babysitter's car racing track. We also played with Barbie dolls, farm animals, horses and a Etch-a-sketch. We played with Slinkies, Play-Dough and we loved Color Forms. We also loved to pretend we were the Jackson Five Singing Group! Some of you may remember some of these things depending on where you lived and how old you are. I'm probably aging myself, but that's okay. Thanks for bringing back some good childhood memeories.

I've really enjoyed reading this post. I think I've done most of the things you mentioned growing up. It is fun to remember all the things from the past. Sounds like they were good memories for you. Thanks for sharing.
