How many Bibles are there ??

I have heard that there are many bibles written by Popes etc, like New testament , old testament, other version etc. (lol) We if people keep writing all the holy books how can it be the gods words. Old testament said pork is illegal, new testament says pork is clean ?? i can understand the situation in which the christians live?? Do they make thier own laws
