How old is your mattress? They say (the infamous "they") it is not good to keep one over 10 years and you should really change them every 5. Wow, do you know how much theses things cost these days?

Spare Room - My Spare room
Yes I know they cost a lot, I just bought one and then I decided to keep my old one and make a mega couch out of it for my spare room, it might be old but I get a much better sleep on it....

We have just replaced our matress, the one we had before was very good quality but was about 20 years old. I was waking up with backache every day so it was time to change. We have bought a good quality one again with memory foam and what a difference it has made, no more backache and a good nights sleep. We got it a a knock down price, and even got more knocked off, I think he was desperate for a sale, but we still paid £700 ($1400) for that. It was a long way from being the most in that store with some as much as £2000 ($4000). As soon as the backache returns I shall be out there buying a new matress again.

Yes i have heard that you should really change these every couple years. I agree with you they are expensive. I couldnt even tell you how old mine is. But it does help to change them, the one before this i had for a real long time and it got to the point that i would get out of bed and my feet and back were screwed up from it. My back was so sore from having a old mattress.
