cos they r so lovable and obedient. I have a lab dog named Newton in my building and he simply enjoys playin with the kids and not to forget very friendly with the people around. The funny part is that when these labs get excited, they pee. Moreover they respond well to praise and positive attention. And to me they deserve to be known as the best breed

I happen to agree with you too. I have a black labrador named Pluto and I guess he is the best natured dog in the whole world. He doesn't know how to bite ( despite my best efforts to teach him a bit of self defence :D) and won't even harm a fly. One day I was taking Pluto for a walk without his leash since he is very well trained and he got a bit ahead of me. Suddenly I saw there was a small bird chick right in front of him in the middle of the road. I was afraid he might harm it lest he try to play with it and ran to save it.But it was unnecessary . Pluto smelt the chick and sat down to observe it . Such a sight that was.If all labradors are as cheerful and harmless as Pluto then they are definitely the best dogs in the world.

i absolutely agree. We got a four year old golden labrador from a rescue home because we have two young children and wanted a dog that would be safe around the children . He has settled in now and made himself right at home blessed be
