lyrics vs. review notes or lessons

why is that we intend to memorize easily the lyrics of our favorite song rather than our school lessons,,

COme tot hink of it, I can memorize a song faster than my school lessons, probably it's because I really enjoy singing and words are easier to remember when accompanied with music I guess.
