best aids to stop smoking.

i found out recently i am going to have to have surgery again for a reoccuring problem. they have informed me i must quit smoking first. i had planned to anyway,but..this will be my 15th attempt. any suggestions for the withdrawl/figiting?

I'm also trying to quit. I think you've indirectly mentioned something like this, but try to avoid things that make you want to smoke. For me, it's after drinking coffee or tea that I end up wanting to smoke, so I had to also cut down on that. Stressful things that just pop up out of nowehere often cannot be avoided. I am thinking do the best there. Anyway, what kind of surgury are you having?

oh god.you're going through the fun then too. coffee was never one of my connectors..i don't know why i have to have a mass removed. one of those wonderful "woman problems". it's non-cancerous though(thank god).

I know its sooooo hard, I am battling with quitting now, been three days with one small slip up, but its gonna drive me crazy. They want you to quit smoking because it speeds up the healing process if you are not smoking. Coz smoking increases blood flow, and heart rate and makes you cough more. I quit when i had surgery, and I began again when I was healed...someone should have sown my mouth shut..sigh... good luck with it, if anything helps with these awful withdrawals, please pass them along...

yea that was the main thing-the blood. it funny-the last times i had this done,they didn't have a problem with it.argh... i was recommended chewing fennel.. hmm..sounds gross,but i'll try it congrats on 3 days:)
