Well I'm glad to hear that you're not using your pitbull as a fighting dog, they don't deserve that at all and it makes me so sad to hear of situations like that. Anyways, pitbulls are normally built as muscular dogs to begin with, I suppose that a lot of exercise couldn't hurt. Pitbulls are meant to be very active dogs and I once heard that a pitbull with a lot of energy isn't a happy pitbull, they like to be really active with room to run!

Try getting him a hgh protein dog food. And then just get him as much exercise as possible. My dog likes to pick up big rocks at the beach and run around with them, which I fidure works like weight lifting for her but I don't know how to get a dog to do that, she just came up with it on her own.

All I pretty much do it make sure he gets lots of exercise (a walk everyday) and enough time to play in the yard everyday. I also gave him a tired to play with and the muscle builds up on its own actually. But my cousin feeds his rice and meat, and it really does have a positive effect, the dogs coat is VERY beautiful and in great shape. But that just costs too much money for me to do, so I stay with the exercise.

Diet and exercise. Pitbulls are naturally strong and muscular, specially if not altered. Here's a good diet if you have the time and $: Boiled chicken (without the bones, they're dangerous) with rice Chicken or beef liver Ground beef (cooked or raw) Spinach Tuna in oil (very good for their coat) Carrots Marrow bones For exercise, aside from walking, you can try weight pulling if the dog enjoys it. But check for the correct way of doing things from a professional weight pulling trainer.
