It can also be a generalized misconception. Some Sterotypes are alright, but claiming that everyone from a single culture or heritage or religion are all the same as these sterotypes are wrong..... Many can be very negative and harmful.... Yes, I do think it is mean to use harmful sterotypes.. or non true ones. One Sterotype that has personally bothered me all my life is.. "There are no blond haired blue eyed Indians" I am have both Cherokee and Lakota Heritage.. There are many full bloods Cherokees who started out with very blond hair and it grew darker as they grew up... Others stay blond others hair turns black.. . That is one sterotype I have gotten sick of..... I also have Irish, and Dutch.. So I could at least say well the Blond hair is from the Dutch, Because I got so sick of fighting this sterotype... I find sterotypes annoying at times, but there are both good and bad sterotypes its the negative or bad ones.. is the ones I will fight and stand up against, and people need to always remember that not everyone of every general group is going to match any of these sterotypes as each individual will have their individuality.. regardless of the group they belong to. - DNatureofDTrain
