why do all good ones die?and the rubbish ones never shut up?

Ah, that's an easy one. "The good die young so that they will not be tempted. The wicked live long so that they may repent." Applied to music, the good die before they can become tempted to sell out and start making trash just to make money. The ones who start out making trash live forever in the hope that someday they may learn their craft and produce something decent. To me, the sad ones are the great ones who don't die young and have to live most of their lives knowing their latest work may make more money than their early stuff, but it just isn't as good.
