Why is this film so enjoyable?

There are not many films that I can say I have watched more than once but the number of times I've seen 'Once Upon a Time in Mexico' runs into double figures. And every single time I've thoroughly enjoyed it. The soundtrack is fantastic, the larger-than-life characters are both well-written and well-acted. Johnny Depp plays his character especially well and his dialogue still makes me laugh even though I know what he's going to say. I can't quite put my finger on what it is that makes me enjoy this particular film so much because the realism is completely non-existent - in fact it's both unrealistic and cheesy. Yet I still love to watch it. What is it about this film that makes it such a joy to view? Arkad The Richest Man in Atherstone
