I heard my friends say something about on-line books. You go to the website and then you buy books from them.Much more cheaper than the books you buy outside(because they don't need the supplier, transporter, and minus the cost of papers...).What do you think?
I do not really like the ideas. Reading articles online is ok.But books?Hmm....what about you

Buying books on - line is more convenient than going to a bookshop. When I want to buy one book,I surely will go on - line to have a look.If the price (including the mailing fees) is lower than the shop,I will buy it.

On-line books. These may be e-books, printed copies either hardcover or paperback. I don't think there's any problem with them, it depends upon what kind do you like either the e-book which is much cheaper or the paperback which is also cheaper than the hardcover because the cover of the hardcover copy itself is expensive.
I have been publishing at lulu.com - e-book, paperback, and hardcover. I am a translator of the Word of God from Greek to English. I have already published GENESIS, EXODUS, LEVITICUS (Greek-English), THE WILL New Testament (Greek to English), ELEMENTS of SALVATION, The Right Way, GOD, ORIGIN, TRANSFER into PERFECTION, GREEK-ENGLISH (Grammar & Vocabulary), WORDS in THE WILL New Testament, and others shown at

GENESIS, EXODUS, LEVITICUS (Greek-English) is not only about history. It is the source of wisdom and knowledge. Our basic knowledge in everything comes from these first three books of the Holy Bible. I hope you would include at least this one in your reading.
I suggest that you get the printed copy and not the e-book so that your eyes won't be strained. May God bless you.

Do you actually mean "E-BOOKS" OR "BOOKS SOLD ONLINE"? I'm a little confused. ;)

I bought an e-book once just to try it out, but I ended up printing it so I didn't have to stare at the screen that long. That gave me a headache. Plus, I really treasure physical books - worth their weight in gold in my mind - so I don't think I would buy an e-book again.

I have written an e-book. A novel about abuse of a young girl. I have sold about 5 copies. I wrote it in the 80s and no traditional book publisher would buy it because the content is controversial although it is written in acceptable language. I don't think people are used to the idea of reading a BOOK from the computer. One of my buyers said she printed it all out and curled up with a cup of tea on the couch. Comforting and old fashioned. Perhaps even we computer buffs are more traditional than we think.

I definitely agree with you, I don't mind reading articles online (as long as they're not too long), but books are sacred to me. I'd much rather go through the pleasure of buying an actual book and reading that as I really like to read books in the bath - I wouldn't dare take my laptop into the bath with me! Plus, reading long articles on the screen (especially if the color scheme is all wrong) makes my eyes hurt after a while, it's not a nice sensation. I never get that with a good old fashioned book.
