Question for XBOX 360 users

Does anyone know how to get my XBOX 360 to recognize my computer? We've been trying to hook it up where all of our music on the computer will play on the Xbox. We've tried everything, we've dowloaded Zune...we've got Windows Media Connect...we've allowed sharing and started sharing and we're on the same network. The thing that I've noticed is different with our setup is that the XBOX 360 is wired to the router...our computer has a wireless adapter connected to the router. Could that be why the XBOX isn't finding our computer? Cause the computer recognizes the xbox just fine...it's the xbox that won't recognize the computer. HELP, this is really frustrating.
