new private property rights in china

A 14 year old law in the making has finally been passed in China that grants all categories of ownership to the individual instead of to the state. Initially the law was intended as a crackdown on corrupt public officials, but is now used more as a political edge to show other countries that China is changing the communistic ideal to a more democratic stance.
