Hi there I got a bite on my ankle earlier this morning and Ive been observing my cat tonight and im not sure if she has fleas or not. i have seperated her fur and cant seem to see any black specks but she foes keep licking and biting herself. Is this a sign of fleas or is she just cleaning herself?

If she has fleas she will be itching and biting like mad! It is always best to use a preventative flea control on pets as someyimes they can be hard to spot and once they have taken hold they will be in every part of your house. Flea aggs can lie dormant in your carpet. Speak to your vet or local pet store and they will be able to advise you on the treatments avaialble.

Sounds like she's got fleas. SOrry to tell you this. We've been dealing with our felines and their problems for a while, too. The biting is a sure sign, and if you found one on you, it's almost a guarantee. :(
