Had you ever pick up anything on the street? Money, coins, etc....? What did you do ? What will you do if you see a hundred dollar note at the corner of the street?? What will you do if you see a bag of money in a toilet where you can find any people nearby?? If you think you will not pick them up, what will you do ?

I have picked up money on the street before, but luckily there was no one else around so it wasn´t a tough decision! Once I found a 20 quetzal bill and it was right when we were so broke, I wasn´t sure what to eat that night! That Q20 went straight to the market!

it is good to improve the economy as the $20 is being put into the market rather than left on the ground..lol

to be honest, it would be a hard decision-i would for sure pick it up and look around to see if anyone was looking frantic and said they lost some money.. but chances are on a busy street corner, it could be just about anyones. i don't feel that would be greed taking over,,,just luck. money in a bag in a bathroom? well its never happened to me, but i would most likely turn it in to the owner of the place the bathroom is in. Its more likely that they would have someone call for it, or notice that they left it. i would feel to guilty to keep it. maybe they might give a reward or something anyway!

If it is just a few pennies, I would not trouble my self to find the owner of the money. If it is a big wallet, (just as what happened to me a few months ago in a big supermarket, I found a wallet with some money and many credit cards in them on the stage of the window, there were nobody around me at that time), I would return return the wallet to the manager of the market and ask him to find the owner.I believe this Chinese saying, A gentleman likes money, but he knows how get money honestly.thank you for the good topic.

I have never found any money or coins on the street.Well,if I ever happen to find coins or bag full of money I don't think I would pick it up only in case I think it's owner is around and give it back.If it's any different than that ,I honestly don't think I would pick it up. It's not just about honesty , but also the fact that the person who left it there might be in real trouble and come looking for it.When he or she doesn't get the bag back,it might cause hardships to him or her.Frankly , I won't want to be subjected to a circumstance where I carelessly forget a money bag and return to find nothing.I have seen a friend of mine lose his entire college fees at an exchange centre and I have seen what he had to go through. No,I don't think I 'd pick it up having seen what I have seen.

I normally don't keep the coins I find on the street.I donate it to some needy person. If I find a bag of money where it is apt to be picked up,I would call the police and hand it over to them.I don;t like to keep what I don't earn for myself.I used to find coins on the road. But if I saw people around,I would leave it there. If not, then I would pick it up and donate to a needy person or in a temple.I believe that what is not mine will never stay with me.

Whenever I find money lying around, I pick it up and wait for someone to come looking for it or ask about it. I know not to ask, "Did anyone lose ten dollars?" because just about everyone in the room will respond affirmatively. A couple of years ago, it was about 8:00 at night and I was walking home from the shopping center when I passed a bench in front of one of the clothing stores. A beaded lady's wallet was lying on the bench. I put it in my pocket and waited. There was a young couple in the clothing store, and they left without even glancing at me. After a few minutes, I became impatient and went home. When I got home and opened the wallet, there was no identification inside. However, there was over $140 dollars in twenties. It may have been my lucky day, but my conscience will always tell me I should have waited on that bench a bit longer.

I won't pick up any money in the street for my self. If I don't know the owner, I prefer to give it to beggars. Once I was only 9, I found some money in the bus, I don't know what to do that I gave it to the driver's assistant. My parents taught me not to pick money you don't know where it comes from. If it's a blessing, you know where it comes from (someone gives you directly, etc)

I always pick up the pennies an aunt of mine would always pick up the pennies that she saw on the street. She would then say see a penny pick ie up and have a lucky day. So I can't resist picking up coins on the street. The most that I have ever found was $20.00 years ago.It was just laying there when I opened the car door. If I found a very large amount I would turn it into the closest police station and the same. If I found a wallet or purse I certenly would turn it in.

I must be greedy, because if I see it I am going to pick it up. If I know who it belongs to I will give it to them. I am not going to turn it in to our police because they are crooked. So, I will keep it for myself. Oh how I wish I could be so lucky to pick up a hundred dollar note.

I am far too honest for my own good .. when I find small change in the street or public places I stick it into the nearest charity box .. when I have found bags or wallets I have handed them into the local police station ... If I saw a £50 note on the street I would check the time .. exactly where it was I'd found it and hand it into the local police station .. if no one collects it after a reasonable length of time it would become my property ... so it's worth trying to find the owner as you never know how much they need the money ... I've had some lovely comments from the owners of things I've found and handed in .. I'd hate to simply take something that wasn't really mine to take .. I like to have a completely guilt free conscience ..

I will also hand it to the police, there is nothing so horrible, as to have your handbag stolen or lost, you feel amputated

I have been in this situation before. I honestly can say I did not do the right thing. One day I was out in my apartment’s parking lot and saw money flying by. I ran to grab it all and came up with $50. A friend of mine suggested I tell the landlord about it and then if no one claims it, it is mine. Well, I never did because at the time I was hurting for money and felt that I should keep it. If I could go back I would notify the landlord. I should have put myself in the shoes of the person who lost the money. The might not have been in a situation where they could afford to lose this. After all it was a college town, and a lot of college kids are poor. Knowing myself and how money thirsty I am, If I saw money in the toilet I would pick it out. But only if the water was clean.

honestly... if i saw a $100 bill just staying there helplessly in the corner (lol), i would pick it up. maybe if i saw the person who accidentally dropped it, i would return it to him/her. i'm not the greedy type of person, but if i would get lucky sometimes and find some money, to be honest, i wouldn't go to the police and report that.... maybe i would be an outlaw, i don't know, but i couldn't resist the simple idea of getting rich or at least having some extra cash.... so i hope i'm not going to be punished to harsh for committing the sin of wanting more...:P cheers!
