When my grandfather died, all family members were present. The time came when we had to sent my grandfather to his tomb. I have a cousin who was five years old at that time and he was there to witness the event. When everyone was so consumed of the loss of my grandfather my cousin wondered around. The cemetery was a little bit hilly/sloppy. In the middle of the ceremony we then heard a little voice singing. Guess who? There my little cousin, singing the national anthem. Because he saw our national flag placed above the casket of a military officer whose burial date was the same with my grandfather. He just wanted to be a good, respectful citizen. For you, why did he do that?

I guess, the flag was the stimulus and the singing of the national anthem was the likely response. If your cousin is going to school already, then explains everything.

Well, he was used or taught to do so and you're right he's innocent. He may have done it wrongly but for him it was just appropriate.
