Where is my family when I need them?

I am a single mom,I have been raising my son by myself for 16 months now.The pregnancy was also very traumatic,both the baby and I came very close to death.I was hospitalized for months.And the baby for a week after birth. All this time I have been living here because it is close to my family,but I don't understand my logic in that since I see them all less than ever.No one has even watched my son for an hour,and it is really taking a toll on me.I have told them how hard it is sometimes and that I just need a break.Also I really want my son to know them. He does not have the father or that side of his family,and we are it. How do I get my family more involved in my son's life?
