how can we prevent breast cancer?

i meet a long lost friend last month and we never seen eachother for many years already.. i remember her she was a very healthy and nice friend to me. she is very choosy in her food and eat a lot of good foods for sure! i was surprise when i met her again she told me she has breast cancer... I felt bad and sad for her but happy too seeing her that she is very strong person.. I heared a lot about breast cancer and the prevention but i dont know if someone have ever survive with it.. maybe come lived for few years then die.. anyway medicine that will heal that? are men also can have this breast cancer? I like to hear some opinion about this.. thanks!
