How often do you loose track of time.....

....While working online? I swear the days get shorter the more I have to do. I HAD to go get my hair done today so i was away from home for about 4 hours. I got back and launched into trying to get caught up on all y little money ventures and that was well over 6 hours ago. I have barely scratched the surface of what I need to get done for my own goals, even though I have all my articles and posts done for my gigs. Do you ever look up and wonder where the 6 hours went and why you haven't finished everything?

Last night I fell asleep on the couch right after work. I got up and thought I'd tidy the room, in passing the computer, instended to just look in on my friends'posts and maybe do a few responses. that was around 10:00. At four this morning I forced myself to turn off the compter and go to bed. Augh. Dragged my butt at work today. But see my Mylot friends and neighbors are fascinating people. Brilliant, sparkling, witty, and deep. Love you guys. You, too Eskarenai.

I can definitely get lost while working online. I've sat down to start what seemed like something small and then my husband walks in the door from a full day of work. Did I just sit here for 8 hours?!! I will have gotten up to go to the bathroom, to have something to eat and yet not really paid attention to the time. I find the the internet lends itself to getting you sidetracked if you are not completely focused on the task at hand. I'll start out at mylot to "just catch up" and then there will be a discussion that leads me to another site and the cycle continues. It is important to keep focused and I've found that a 30 minute timer going off reminds me of how quickly time flies here.

I tend to lose track of time all the time. Especially when I am on the computer. If I am reading a book or if I go out shopping. If I go out shopping I will come home with little or no stuff but be gone hours looking at things. When I walk in my husband is like where have you been, I have been worried.

I'm with you on this one SageMother. My day is measured by my 4 hour dialup sessions. Sometimes I can't figure out with out deep concentration is I've dialled up 2 or 3 times. There really are not enough hours in my day to do everything. And I get so many interuptions. The cat wants to play or be fed. Ditto the dog. The goat bleats coz he's lonely, someone wants fuel, my friend comes over for nothing, another friend will come and sit and do nothing another friend will come for a chat. The garbage is practically walking out the door by itself so I need to do a rubbish run, So I collect the mail as well. Whew, and I'm only half way through the day and my goal of 30 responses and posts is slipping away. Grrrrr!. LOL.
