late riser

sleep - sleep!!!!!!!!!!!

i am a late riser .is it a problem?i sleep at 3 a.m.i have tried to sleep at 12 a.m.but i cannot.i wake up at 10 a.m.in the morning.how can i improve?tell me.....

I'm exactly the same way and I am currently trying to break this cycle. From what I've read, keeping a strict schedule is most important. This means getting up at the same time every day and also going to bed at roughly the same time. Even on the weekends, when you might not have to go to work, you should still get up at the same time. Eventually, they say this will train your body to get tired at a certain time and wake up easily. I have even read that after a certain amount of time, many people no longer need to set an alarm clock - their body has become so accustomed to rising at a certain time, that they wake up all on their own. However, sticking to such a scheule can be very difficult and for people with certain lifestyles and occupations, it can be literally impossible. Other than that, I would suggest avoiding stimulants, such as caffeine for several hours before bed. Try to do quiet, relaxing activities when you want to fall asleep, rather than exercising, listening to fast music or watching action-packed movies. Sleeping pills are also an option, but should only be taken until you get yourself on a sleeping schedule. You should talk to your doctor before using sleeping pills, as some of them can be addictive. If you have trouble waking up in the a.m., try setting two alarm clocks or putting your alarm clock out of your reach. If you have to get up to turn it off, you are more likely to stay up. If you stay in bed, the temptation to hit the snoze button can be too great.

Don't feel bad I am the same way here it is 3am and I am still typing away I usually go to sleep between 2-4am and get up with my son at 6am gt him on the bus and got back to sleep until my youngest wakes me up between 10:30-11:30 So don't feel bad I am sure there are many other like us out there
