Love is interesting in itself. But I think that very few take time to ponder on what love is.
I'd start off with bible verse which is familiar to some of us:
Love is kind, not jealous nor conceited nor proud. Love is not happy with evil. Love does not record wrongs. Love is happy with the truth. Love forgives. Love endures pain, Love sacrifices.
To top it off, love is not selfish.
