Egyptology

Hey mag I've always been fascinated with Egyptology. At one point in high school I wanted to be an archaeologist. Have they made any inroads into discovering how the blocks used to build the pyramids were made or cut? I've heard that except for where the stone has crumbled you can't even slide a credit card between the blocks. Obviously they had some form of technology that allowed them to cut the blocks to a precision undreamed of by anything but the most modern laser cutting technology. Then of course is the question of how on earth they built such massive structures, how did they get the stones into place? I'm surprised you haven't had more responses to this subject considering you created it a year ago.
