My boyfriend and i have been neighbours for several years. Well despite being neghbours we never talked much, just a hi or a hello. Well we recently got quite friendly over the new year and on valentines day he just poped the question....yup he proposed. well problem is he is still studying and i need some time to start with my furthur studies as well. plus of course there is the distance between us....hes in the states and im here in pakistan. He needs time to set up and get a place before he actully makes the final commitment. should i trust him and wait or should i think otherwise???? please help me someone, anyone. i need good damn advice.....esp i like to hear good feedback from guys.

They don't usually last, because people grow appart. Away from sight, away from mind, isn't that what they say? It's funny, because in the old days, people would often be engaged and their only contact would be made through correspondence. But those were different times. Although some people are currently ordering brides through the internet... But that's another story altogether. Maybe you can wait, just don't wait too long ;)

Maybe you should discuss this with him... it's very difficult to give more precise advice without knowing both people. But like I said, if you want to marry him, if you think he's serious, then maybe you can wait and give it a try. Just don't wait forever for this, like some people do, and pass up on other chances.

One thing you have to remember is different things work for different people. How deeply committed are you to each other? Have you talked it out what kind of problems could arise with a long distance relationship? Have you asked him how long a time he is talking about? I do think a long distance relationship can work but it takes a lot harder work than if you are together everyday. I wish you luck in your relationship and hope it works out for you.
