Happy St. Patricks Day to all my friends and neighbours. What are your plans for the day ? My brother-In-Law has his 76 th Birthday today. He lives with us because he has cebral Palsy and can't live alone. I have a big slab cake and I'm taking it to the seniors lodge where he has some friends over there and he's going to spend the day there. It gives him something to look forward to and it gives me a break. It's a win win situation...

Well today, I started out getting my hair done early this morning. Later on I'm taking my son out to dinner, Mommy and son time, we going to then stop by Blockbuster, rent a movie, come home and watch it:)

Hi Grandmaof 2, Are you not the best of people. How kind of you, I usually do not even celebrate my birthday, but at 76 I probably will. I am pleased that he has friends to visit, I have a good idea what a care giver goes through, and it probably is one of the most difficult jobs in the world, There is no end to it, no or little compensation, some times very thankless. It takes a courageous person to do what you are doing. You have my admiration and my heart goes out to you,

Well Thank You Robin. Living with two men should almost make you think this but Yes some days. After my brother-in-law came to live with us I knew I would have to have a few hours a month off, so I introduced him to the lodge because he's said he doesn't want to ever live in the lodge. Method behind my madness. I'm still able to take care of him but one day I may not have a choice. My plan is working, he goes about once every second week being his own idea, and he's so pleased to share Birthday Cake...

glad you had a great day, I just stayed home, I wasn't feeling good again today. I had cramped and felt like I wanted to throw up though I didn't.

Happy St. Paddy's Day grandmaof2. As well happy Birthday to your brother-in-law. It sounds as though he is lucky to have you. I have no experience myself but Im sure its no easy walk being a caregiver.
My family didn't do anything special in honour of St. Patricks day. My husband ia of German descent and I'm French...No luck of the Irish around here..lol. WE just spent a quiet day as a family.

Happy St.Paddy's Day to you Grandmaof2, and birthday wishes to the brother in law. It sounds like you have a nice day planned especially you getting the break part. It is always nice when one can have a break or time away. We don't have much planned, it is nice out however so the hubby, daughter, and I will probably go for a walk! Have a nice day!
