Ghost Stories

I have always had an affinity for the paranormal. I am odd, to say the least. I have been to many haunted places, and have lived in houses that were/are haunted. Does anyone else have stories to chill our spines? Here's my first encounter with "the other side": I was eight years old and had been asleep for a while. My bed faced the door, so when I woke up, I could see into the hallway. I woke up in the middle of the night to see a man walking down the hallway towards our living room. I thought I was seeing things, because I could have sworn that he was glowing. I got out of bed and went to the bathroom. I went to look for him, thinking he was my dad who might have gotten out of bed for something to drink. (my parents room was at the end of the hall) I searched the entire house, even the garage, but no one was there. Not in the living room, dining room, or kitchen. No one was in the basement, so I went back to my bedroom. On my way back, I realized that I could hear my dad snoring down the hall. And there was no way for him to get by the bathroom without me knowing. After that, things started moving around in my room by themselves, up until the day we moved. I never once saw him again, but I also never slept with the door open again either. Does anyone else have stories like this? I have plenty! Let's keep this up and runnig, it's a lot of fun.

I have one. My husband, son and I were staying in a New Orleans hotel a few years ago. Every night I would wake up and see a young man with banages on his head itting on my son's bed. He would smile at me as if it say I am fine. When I told my son he said he worke up and could feel the bed move at the same time I saw the boy. We told the Bell Hop and he told us that the hotel was a hospital in the Civil War and a lot of men have been seen by diffent guest!

Great topic btw, I gave you a + :-) As for stories, well I am a ghost hunter (for fun, not profit LOL) and I have stories I could tell from sites as well as homes I have lived in. I prefer to call them houses with 'character' LOL The house that we live in now never ceases to amaze me. One day right after my husband had gotten off from work (he works nights), I was sitting at the computer while he was sleeping. He had let me sleep in that morning and gotten the kids up and off to school. I was typing away when I saw what looked like a short, female child...immediately I thought my oldest daughter was home. I went to her room and there was no one there...I though oh well...need more coffee LOL I didn't think a think about it or say anything until later that evening. I was doing loading laundry and I asked my teenage son to watch the baby as she was in her walker. When I went back into the kitchen, there was the baby, all alone. I reprimanded my son and he was like 'mom, I left Jessie (the older sister) out here with the baby' and I told him that was impossible as Jessie was asleep on MY bed and had been for over an hour. He describe to me just what he had seen and then I told him of my experience earlier that day. Talk about strange LOL so I guess we have a little girl roaming about through the house (so long as she keeps things picked up, she can stay LOL)

Very cool. I love it! I wish we had that kinda stuff here. We only hear them, not see anything. We do have at least one here, but he's only active around me. I guess that I am kind of a medium, in a sense.
