Why is it in Georgia St Pattys day is such a big deal?I know we all have a lot of irish blood but for goodness sake here we are some of us celebrating a big old parade and tonight people will be drinking and driving or partying to no end.... Why all the hoopla? any answers?

Yeah it is big in bars around in Florida also. Maybe a excuse to drink. I have Irish blood in my family also.
