do you need a bigger sd card?

i recently had trouble getting the right files to play movies on my wii but als i have done it but my card isnt big enough i have a petty 32 meg wich does the job for pictures and mp3's but although youtube videos are big enough once converted a 5 minute video is in excess of 1000mb so i am getting a bigger one either way who else has this problem?
