What do you think about Marcus Junius Brutus

We all know about Julius Caesar and how he was killed. Considering that Brutus was a states man and ideologist do you really think he was wrong being a part of the conspiracy against Julius Caesar ? His intention was only to save the country from a tyranny and not to kill his friend. But many feel that he was a traitor ! I know not many one would take part in this discussion, still its an interesting one
