Has Technical Support Been Helpful To You Or Not?

Computer problems happens on a daily basis. Whether it is software or hardware related? How many of you are computer savvy or computer illiterate? When you call technical support have they been helpful and fixed your computer issues? Or are you the ones that have called multiple times and have not got your computer issues solved? What's your say?

if I can't solve the problem, i have someone come over since here in the philippines, we have a lot of technicians that can solve the problem easily. the last time i called a technical support was for the mobile internet pcmcia card for the laptop but since the cards program is having a hard time connecting thru LAN, i just opted for cable internet & just bought a router with it. no problems have occured since then

I used to repair PCs and have been using them for 25 years or so, had an XT early on, no hard drive (too expensive)
I call like once a year or so. They are helpful. $25
