Halloween...Is it good or bad for the kids?

Halloween event - This is a picture from a Halloween event that I went to a while back. The werewolf in the picture scares the people as they go by. If you haven't had the chance to go to one of these, you should...It is a great time.

I personally love Halloween. Each year I put together a maze with actors, etc, and give the adults and kids a good scare. I put it on for free, and everyone on the block and surrounding neighborhoods come back each year. At the end, of course, they get the candy...but the reason they come back is for the maze. Special effects, Fog Machines, Black Lights, etc. Some people say that Halloween is bad for the kids, or evil. I can understand that stance, do to the gore, etc, too, What do you think, and why??? Make your case here.

Every Fall, I work at our County's Haunted Cornfield. There is an admission fee to get in, but it's totally worth it. I work as one of the monsters that scare the guests, it is a blast. I believe Halloween is perfectly fine for children. You have to test their fear every once in a while, or they'll be afraid of a lot of things in their lives. Just because a little girl wants to be a witch for Trick or Treat doesn't mean she wants to learn witchcraft. Halloween is a fun time for children to be someone else, a monster. Of course, a lot of haunted mazes or cornfields are often not recommended for young children. I wouldn't take a kid through something with tons of gore and blood and violence... -Joe

It's not bad,as long they have fun and get their candy. Halloween is just a day to scare each other and receive candy haha
