Is inter-racial marriage still an issue today?

im just curious. remember the BIG BROTHER controversy in the Uk, if racism is still abundant in out countries then i guess inter-racial differences stll matter. why does it matter if you're a black, white, asian or american? we are all people right. i also heard that discrimination is still prevalent in EUROPEAN countries? why? what makes asian lower than they are?
