I know very little about business.I never actually start one. There are so many questions running in my mind.I think I'm scared of failing specially if it includes losing money.Add to it the lack of knowledge about Laws that governs businesses. It seems,at least to me,that there's so much things that I have to think about and consider in starting a business. I'm currently working to break out of my fears of failing so I could start whatever I want.but I hope I could find someone that will personally guide me step by step in starting a business.Someone that will tell me what should be done first or what should I do in order to run a business well. Is there someone out there that can help? thanks a lot!

Hello black_wing and how are you? I welcome you in mylot. It would have been better if you would have added some details about you and your background with whatever experience in the life. Still I shall dare to write something in general which could help you to start a business. 1. If you and your family are totally in raw state from business experience point of view, then you "should not" think of a big investment business in the beginning. 2. Take a thorough halp from elders and experienced people who have some experience in the business field you are entering. 3 Do not spend all of your capital asets in the business right in the beging itself. 4. Always keep a square vacant to step back in business, when needed to be in the future. 5. Prepare your mind for a hard work and do not start dreaming profits in the beginning of the business. 6. Keep your head cool and handle every person in business with kind & gentle way. 7. If posible do not take any loan from anywhere and work out with the money available with you. Wish you all the best.

Really there are far too many questions I'd have to ask to give a step by step and the only one qualified to tell you how to do it step by step would have to have experience in the type of business you are going into. Being in the business of working at home I can tell you that you need to keep a perfect record of all expenses and what's coming in. You would be suprised how many things can be considered a tax deduction, and make sure you save everything... and I mean everything... you never know if you will need it. Be as organized as possible because it really is the key.

well personally i donot have a business of my own but i know i m gonna have one soon. I feel if u r thinking of the fears of collapsing the day u start then lemme tell u ,if ur home work is good ,then nobody can do tht to u!! just look into wat the markets have to sy, take comments frm the experts , take about possible fallouts and oppertunities in tht field, look for ppl who can help you and the most imp thing take care of ur finances. dont dream to big for a start. invest wat u can and just dont go building tajmahal if u cant even buy a land!!! always be aware of ur money and ur returns. business is a game played by many ppl and won by few. so take possible precautions whr ever u feel unsafe in the road to success. Always remember ~~~ to start is half done!

I have a same question like you. At first , to learn related laws is important . Sometimes , I try to make friends with lawyers or different friends who can told me related information. ---Maybe the steps which you have adopted just like what I refered . But this way seems so slowly. I do hope do my owe business , but the biggest question is I haven't enough capitals to invest . So I wanna find corporators to invest together. Then everything just change to more complex . 1.What kind of business that you wanna open ? 2.Where is the best place to run your business ? 3.How much money that you can invest to ? 4.The related laws that you need to learn ? 5.How much time that your business can get the profit ? 6. The main bussiness information ? ------so many questions need to be considered !

first of all, welcome to mylot! I know starting up a business and being successful in it is a dicey thing. but i would suggest you the following recommendations when you think of starting up your own business: THE TOP TEN DO'S WHEN STARTING A BUSINESS Live frugally and begin saving up money for starting your business. Learn your intended business by working for someone else in the same business first. Consider the benefits of starting a moonlight business. Consider the advantages of operating a family business. Objectively measure your skills and training against potential competition. Consider subcontracting to low cost suppliers if you're manufacturing a product. Test market your product or service before starting or expanding. Make "for" and "against" list describing the specific business you are considering. Talk to lots of people in your intended business for advice as you are doing! Make a comparative analysis of all opportunities you are considering. you can also do SWOT analysis i.e. finding out strength, weakness, opportunity and threat. THE TOP TEN "DON'TS" WHEN STARTING A BUSINESS: Think about leaving your job if you have, before you have completed start-up plans. Consider starting a business in a field you do not enjoy. Risk all the family assets. Limit your liabilities to a predetermined amount. Hurry to select a business. There is no penalty for missed opportunities. Select a business that is too high a risk or hurdle. Go for the two-foot hurdle. Select a business in which you must have the lowest price to succeed. Ignore the negative aspects of an intended business. Permit self-confidence to outweigh careful diligence. Allow the promise of a conceptual high reward deter reality testing first. hope these are bit helpful for you so that you can let go your fears. all the best!

First you have to have experience in the business you want to start; second do your research find out if you product or service will sell; third research the laws for your type of business, zoning laws, licesens required, insurance if any; fourth talk to business owners and get their input. Good Luck.

Throughout my life I've dreamed of owning a business that has a "corner on the market". After procrastinating a while, I'll notice someone opens that business and becomes a millionare. I'm pretty much set in my employment status and only a few years away from planning to retire. But I still dream. Looks as your in the time of your life where you might have the ambition and motivation to start a new business. Think alternative energy !!!! Maybe open a business that sells things such as home windmills, solar panels, battery banks, inverters, etc. Maybe even later start up an installation team ! Hope you take this dream and fill your bank account !
