Is it safe to use online banking?

One of my friends used to work in the banking online security industry and would never touch online banking because of the risks of fraud. So have things improved or is it a risk you would rather not take?

My bank only works online and I've been with them for years and never had any problems. I know there are risks but there are with any types of banks.

I must admit I use it without a problem. I know that there are risks, but then there are risks with everything, and as long as you are careful, and don't fall for any of those "phsishing" scams, where they ask for information by email - then I think it is OK. A real, bona fide bank, would NEVER ask for information like that.

I've done all my bank business over the internet for more than 5 years plus I but most of my stuff online. I've NEVER had even the slightest problem, so I really don't see any problem :-)
