I absolutely agree with you. When it is so easy to overspend as you can borrow money a lot of people will do it. I think there should be a limit on the amount of money you are allowed to spend on these cards as people get themselves in real trouble and its hard to get back out of it again.

Yes, that is true. At least I can speak for myself because I am an impulsive buyer. When I see something that I really like, I buy it even if its not really necessary, and even without a cash on hand, I can buy it thru my credit card. Oftentimes I overspend because of these credit cards. I will not say that credit cards are bad because it also had helped me in some emergency and situations like when my mom was hospitalized and there was no available cash on hand, I used my credit card.

I believe to a certain degree they have. Especially for me. I am quicker to purchase something when I am using my credit cards then when I am using cash. Also, I am quicker to purchase something that costs more when I am using my credit cards then when I am using cash. I definitely agree!

I think that we are overspending. When so many people are able to afford so many luxuries, it is hard for the less fortunate ones. Noone wants to be left out. I think people are tempted to get a credit card to feel they are up there with the rich.

i am sure it had incresed my spending habits at first i had alote of control over it..but the last few years i can surly say that "it got me" there are alote of adventages that credit card gives you that cash does not.. stars..discounts..spreading your payments to amount of time that is more conviniant for you..so you get "vacumed" into using the credit card..and yes the spending are also increasing..

Without a doubt credit cards have changed how most of the modern world shops. There are nations pretty well living on debt. You would think that sooner or later things will reach a head and something will have to give because of the enormous debt load so many people carry.
